An Oxford-based architecture and interior design practice working with private clients, developers and organisations across residential, heritage and commercial projects

Studio Hallett Ike is an architecture and interior design practice founded in 2020 by Jonty Hallett and Madeleine Ike, working with private clients across London, Oxford and the South East.

We work with you from the first conversation through to the finished build, designing extensions, refurbishments and new houses shaped around how you actually want to live, alongside occasional commercial and multi-unit projects.

If you're planning a project and want an architect involved at every stage, get in touch below to start the conversation

Every project begins with understanding how you want to live, what your existing home or site can offer, and what your budget can realistically achieve.

We develop a design around your priorities rather than a predetermined style, testing important decisions through drawings and physical models so you can understand how the spaces, light and materials will work before we commit to a final design.

We work with stone, brick, concrete, timber and metal, selecting materials for how they'll weather and improve with age as much as how they look at completion.

The aim is to create a home that feels personal, practical and carefully resolved, with spaces shaped around everyday life and details that will continue to feel considered for years to come.

Beginning a building project can feel daunting, especially when you are unsure what comes first, who needs to be involved or what your budget might realistically achieve.

Our step-by-step guide explains how a typical project develops, from the first conversation and early feasibility work through design, planning, technical information and construction. It is intended to give you a clearer understanding of the process, the decisions you will need to make and how we will support you along the way.

Whether you are considering an extension, a new-build home, an interior design project or the refurbishment of an existing property, the guide will help you understand the next steps and begin the process with greater confidence.
