Stoke Newington House

London, UK. 2021- present

The clients approached Studio Hallett Ike having recently moved into a property that, despite having been altered over the years in a variety of styles and qualities, the original proportions of this grand Victorian house remained, with a lush and generous garden.

Full refurbishment and reconfiguration of this dwelling allows the separate spaces to open up, creating an easy flow throughout. The design includes new oversized fenestration to create a series of views framing the garden.

A separate garden studio is proposed for the rear of the garden, acting as a private and secluded work space for the clients. The material palette throughout the design are referenced in different spaces to ensure the overarching design is cohesive and calming.
