RBC House

London, UK. 2020 - present

This Edwardian house in East London was being quickly outgrown by its family. The ground floor kitchen, dining space and living room were all too small, and the clients had a choice of either moving home, or embarking on a project to make their well loved spaces work for them.

A simple rear extension is proposed, clad in brick, to create much needed space encompassing the kitchen and dining area. Internal walls have also been reconfigured which allows for a larger  living room.

The material palette consists of well considered yet affordable choices, with pops of colour in carefully selected places. Natural light plays a key role in the design.
